Looks exactly as pictured. It arrived encased in plastic without a box. I washed it right away because I thought I smelled a sort of musty scent. I also had just put in a new indoor/outdoor rug in my office, and my nose was reacting to something about that rug. So, my nose was not exactly up to par as to figuring this smell. After the first wash I flat dried it. By that time I had removed the other rug - it was giving me an allergic reaction. This rug, now, I could definitely smell a mildew-like odor that did not go away - I rewashed it with an oxy-booster and detergent, still smelly. I can't live with the smell, I am too sensitive and allergic. Not sure how the return attempt will go...I will see.I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rug and the speedy delivery. The colors are bright -- even nicer than pictured -- and the fiber is smooth and tightly woven. It arrived much faster than expected and the price was less than I've seen for comparable rugs. It cheers and freshens up my poor old porch. I love it!I enjoy the product. However BEWARE!!! DO NOT MACHINE WASH! The product description says you can however I did it delicate with no agitator on cold and it bleed.The Couristan bar harbor rugs are the perfect color and size for our kitchen. They are not backed with any slip free material but that is what I wanted. They do lie flat. it is machine washable; I line dry. They appear to be a long lasting material.There were several snags in the rug when I opened the package. Basically, It already looks used. Not HappyNice
